The Klewenalp-Stockhütte area is located in the heart of Central Switzerland, right off the A2 Gotthard North-South Highway, and is very quick and easy to reach by car. To get there, take the A2 highway (Basel-Chiasso). Take either the Buochs/Beckenried exit or the Beckenried/Emmetten exit.
Beckenried is only a 20-minute drive from Lucerne and an hour from Zurich or Basel.
Parking
Paid parking is available at the valley station in Beckenried and in Emmetten (CHF 5 per day).
The Klewenalp-Stockhütte area is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the train to Lucerne, then transfer to the Zentralbahn to Stans, and take PostBus route 311 to Beckenried Post or continue on to Emmetten.
The Klewenalp-Stockhütte area can be easily reached by boat via Beckenried. The Lucerne–Beckenried ferry operates year-round from Lucerne.
The Klewenalp-Stockhütte area is about an hour's drive from Zurich-Kloten Airport, and trains run every half hour between Zurich and Lucerne.
