Despite the name: The Höch Flue Tour doesn't go very high. But biking high above Lake Lucerne and occasionally looking down 400 meters along the rock face is not without its charm.

Lake Lucerne, the two myths, and the Rigi massif send their regards: This easy bike tour impresses less with its technical challenges and more with the numerous viewpoints.

After a leisurely and quiet start towards Seelisberg, past the Kreuzkapelle with the famous Danse Macabre panel, we reach the Brennwald. From here on, it continues on wide forest roads: No problem to ride side by side in a group – unless a biker is coming the other way on the return of the Brennwald tour. We repeatedly catch a glimpse over the lake – we are 600 meters above the lake level, truly a delight for the senses.

Attention, focus! Because suddenly about three kilometers of top-notch single trail follow – a mix of roots, stones, and meadow. To calm down, just before Hotel Sonnenberg, a contemplative rest in the chapel is suggested. High above the Axenstrasse, the view drifts down to the Rütli meadow and up to the mighty Bristen. Those who packed swimwear can make a detour to the small lake. After cooling off, a few more last, tough altitude meters await back to the viewpoint and then on to the finish in Emmetten.
